FOREO LUNA 4 mini Review: The Skincare Device I’ve Used for 5 Years

I have mine in pink, and I remember buying it because I wanted something that would make my skincare routine feel a little more special.

What I didn't expect was how long it would stay part of that routine.

Five years is a long time for a beauty gadget.

I've used mine regularly, travelled with it and generally put it through its paces. It has remained one of those things that I reach for without really thinking about it.

And that, for me, is always a good sign.

The biggest difference I notice is simply how my skin feels after using it.

It feels really clean, fresh and smooth.

There's something very satisfying about using it with your cleanser rather than simply washing your face with your hands. It takes very little extra time, but makes the whole cleansing part of my routine feel more thorough.

And as I've got older, I've become much more interested in looking after my skin consistently rather than constantly buying new products and hoping for a miracle.

A good routine matters.

For me, my FOREO has become part of that.

One of the things that has genuinely impressed me is the quality.

Mine is five years old and has lasted incredibly well.

That matters to me because I would much rather spend money on something that I can use for years than constantly replace cheaper gadgets that don't stand the test of time.

It's also one of those products that doesn't take up much space and is easy to keep clean, which makes it particularly convenient.

I even take mine away with me.

This is where I want to be completely clear.

I haven't personally used the current LUNA 4 mini.

So while I can't tell you from personal experience exactly how the newer model compares with mine, I can tell you why the LUNA concept itself has worked so well for me for the last five years.

At 40, my approach to skincare started to change.

I'm not particularly interested in chasing every new beauty trend. I'd rather find products that I enjoy using and that I can realistically keep in my routine.

My FOREO fits that perfectly.

It's quick, simple and feels like a little bit of luxury without turning skincare into a complicated ritual.

And five years later, I still genuinely enjoy using it.

For me, absolutely.

But I think the best way to look at it is as an investment in your routine, rather than expecting one gadget to transform your skin overnight.

What I love about mine is the consistency.

I've had it since I was 40. I'm now five years older and it's still sitting in my bathroom and still being used.

That's a pretty good recommendation in itself.

If you're considering buying one today, the current LUNA 4 mini is the version I'd be looking at. It's not the model I personally own, but it's the current generation of the device that has earned a permanent place in my skincare routine.

Would I recommend a FOREO LUNA? Yes.

Have I personally used mine for five years? Yes.

Would I buy another one? Yes.

Do I own the current LUNA 4 mini? No — mine is an older model.

Would I consider the LUNA 4 mini if I needed to replace mine? Absolutely.

And perhaps that's the biggest compliment I can give it.

Five years on, I'm still using my original FOREO LUNA and still think it's one of the best beauty purchases I've made.

Mine is pink, it's been with me since I was 40, and it's still very much part of my next chapter.
