FuelHub: The Meal Prep I've Chosen for Next Chapter Society
FuelHub: The Meal Prep I've Chosen for Next Chapter Society
Why I've partnered with FuelHub and why I think it's a brilliant fit for our busy lives
OFFICIAL NEXT CHAPTER SOCIETY PARTNERSHIP
There are some things you try because everyone seems to be talking about them.
There are some things you try because you think they might make life a little easier.
And then there are the things you try and think:
“Actually, this is brilliant.”
FuelHub is one of those for me.
I've recently partnered with FuelHub, a premium meal prep company based in Warrington, and I'm genuinely excited about this partnership because it isn't simply about putting another brand on the Next Chapter Society website.
I've actually tried the food.
I've tested a number of meal-prep options, and after trying FuelHub, I've chosen them as an official Next Chapter Society partner.
They'll be joining our partner list as a business that I genuinely believe fits with what Next Chapter Society is all about.
And that's important to me.
Because if I'm going to recommend something to the Next Chapter Society community, I want to know that it is something I would actually use myself.
And FuelHub is.

So, how did I discover FuelHub?
I'd obviously heard of a few different meal-prep companies before.
As a registered Health Coach, I'm always interested in finding practical ways to make healthy eating easier, particularly when life is busy.
And let's be honest...
Life is busy.
We're working.
We're running businesses.
We're raising families.
We're studying.
We're exercising.
We're travelling.
We're socialising.
We're trying to look after ourselves.
And somewhere in amongst all of that, we're expected to decide what we're having for dinner every night!
I've tried various meal-prep options because I genuinely wanted to find something that worked in real life.
FuelHub were the company who got back to me about the possibility of working together, so I arranged a meeting with their business-to-business team.
But before I was going to recommend them to anyone else, I wanted to do what I always think is important:
Try them myself.
FuelHub gave me six meals to try, and I wanted to make my own mind up.
I didn't want to partner with them simply because the opportunity was there.
I wanted to know:
Do I actually like the food?
Would I actually eat it myself?
Would I recommend it to my family?
And, ultimately:
Is this something I genuinely believe would be useful to the Next Chapter Society community?
After trying the meals, the answer was a very definite yes.
Why meal prep makes sense for busy people
I think most of us know what we should be doing when it comes to nutrition.
We know we want to eat well.
We know we want to make healthier choices.
We know we need good food to fuel busy lives.
But knowing what you want to do and actually having the time and energy to do it every single day are two very different things.
Because think about what goes into one meal.
You have to decide what you're having.
Check what's in the fridge.
Make a shopping list.
Go shopping.
Prepare everything.
Cook it.
Clear everything away.
Wash up.
And then, somehow, you're expected to do it all again tomorrow.
And the day after that.
And the day after that.
It's not necessarily the cooking itself.
Sometimes I absolutely love cooking.
It's the constant thinking about food.
What's for lunch?
What's for dinner?
What does everyone want?
Have I got everything in?
What needs using?
When am I going to get to the supermarket?
And then there's always someone who says:
“I don't mind what we have.”
Which somehow makes deciding what to have even harder!
For me, the appeal of FuelHub is really simple.
It makes eating well easier.
The meals are already prepared, so when life is busy, I have another option.
I don't have to start from scratch every time I'm hungry.
I don't have to plan every meal.
And I don't have to spend my evening in the kitchen simply because I need to eat.
That's what I mean when I talk about effortless nutrition.
It's not about never cooking again.
It's about having something good available when you need it.
And I think that's a really important distinction.

But does it actually taste good?
This was the big question for me.
Because you can tell me something is convenient.
You can tell me it's nutritious.
You can tell me it's designed for busy people.
But if I take a bite and think:
“I'd rather be eating something else.”
Then it's not going to work for me!
Fortunately, that hasn't been my experience with FuelHub.
I've been genuinely impressed by the food.
And after trying a number of meal-prep companies, that was the thing that really stood out to me.
The food is actually really, really good.
The six meals I tried
FuelHub gave me six meals to try, and I had the chance to work my way through a selection of their dishes.
I've tried:
Beef Ragu with Spinach & Grana Padano
Honey & Chilli Beef with Egg Noodles & Greens
Chicken Pesto Pasta with Spinach & Grana Padano
Barbecue Chicken Pasta with Bacon & Mozzarella
Chicken Dinner with New Potatoes & Carrots
Salmon Pesto Pasta with Spinach & Sun-Dried Tomatoes
And honestly, I've been really impressed.
But there is one that I particularly want to mention...

The Salmon Pesto Pasta
The Salmon Pesto Pasta with Spinach & Sun-Dried Tomatoes was the latest one I've tried.
And honestly?
It was absolutely delicious.
I was genuinely shocked by how good it was.
The salmon, pesto, pasta, spinach and sun-dried tomatoes worked beautifully together.
And it didn't feel like I was eating something simply because it was convenient.
It felt like a proper meal that I actually wanted to eat.
And that's important to me.
Because healthy eating shouldn't feel like punishment.
You shouldn't have to choose between something that's good for you and something you actually enjoy eating.
You should be able to have both.
My family are using FuelHub too
This is probably one of the things I love most about FuelHub.
It isn't just something I've tried once for the purpose of writing a review.
It's actually become part of our routine.
My son is at university.
My daughter is at school.
And we each choose our own meals.
Ten for my son.
Ten for my daughter.
Ten for me.
And that means we've got a selection of meals available, and everyone can choose what they fancy.
Which, if you've ever tried to feed a family, is quite a big deal!
We're not necessarily hungry at the same time.
We don't necessarily want the same thing.
And we certainly don't all have the same schedule.
So having a selection of meals ready to go makes life considerably easier.
And yes, they can be frozen
Another thing that works really well for us is the flexibility.
FuelHub has confirmed that the meals can be frozen straight away and then defrosted before reheating.
Alternatively, they can be kept in the fridge and used by the use-by date on the packaging. This is the info on the website
For us, both works brilliantly.
We can put meals away and then simply grab what we want when we need it defrost ready to cook.
So if I'm busy one evening, my son has something on at university or my daughter has had a long day at school, we've got options.
And sometimes having those options is exactly what you need.
No more “What's for dinner?”
Well...
Maybe there still is.
But at least I've got an answer!
😂
I think this is one of the biggest benefits of meal prep.
It's not just about the food.
It's about taking away some of the mental load that comes with feeding yourself and your family.
There's something incredibly reassuring about knowing:
Dinner is sorted.
No supermarket trip.
No deciding what to cook.
No chopping.
No preparation.
No pile of pans.
Just choose what you fancy, defrost if necessary, heat it up and you're done.
And on a busy day?
That feels like a luxury.
It's not about never cooking again
I want to make this really clear.
I'm not suggesting that everyone should stop cooking.
I still cook.
There are times when I want to cook.
There are times when I want to sit down with my family and make something from scratch.
There are times when I want to go out for dinner.
And there are times when I fancy something completely different.
That's all part of life.
FuelHub simply gives us another option.
And I think that's the secret.
It doesn't have to be all or nothing.
You don't have to become someone who eats meal prep for every single meal.
You can cook when you want to.
You can eat out.
You can have leftovers.
You can have a takeaway.
Or you can reach into the freezer and have a FuelHub meal.
It's about making life work for you.
Healthy eating has to work in real life
This is something I feel particularly strongly about as a Health Coach.
We can make nutrition incredibly complicated if we want to.
Meal plans.
Macros.
Calories.
Protein targets.
Shopping lists.
Recipes.
Supplements.
The list goes on.
But ultimately, I think the best approach is the one you can actually live with.
Because what happens when life gets busy?
What happens when you've worked late?
What happens when you've been travelling?
What happens when the children have activities?
What happens when you're exhausted?
What happens when you simply don't feel like cooking?
That's real life.
And I think having nutritious, convenient food available can make those situations much easier.
Why I've chosen FuelHub as an official Next Chapter Society partner
This is the bit that I'm particularly excited about.
I've tried different meal-prep options.
I've thought about what I actually want from a meal-prep company.
I've considered what would genuinely be useful to the people who follow Next Chapter Society.
And I've chosen FuelHub.
Not because it's another brand to put on a website.
Not because I want to fill the partner list.
And not simply because they've offered me a partnership.
I've chosen them because I genuinely believe they're a great fit for Next Chapter Society.
Next Chapter Society is for men and women who want to make the most of life and embrace whatever their next chapter looks like.
That might mean building a business.
Working hard.
Raising a family.
Getting back into fitness.
Travelling.
Trying something new.
Focusing on health.
Spending more time with the people you love.
Or simply trying to create a life that feels more enjoyable and balanced.
And one thing we all have in common?
Time is precious.
I don't want to spend my whole life in the kitchen.
And I don't think you should feel guilty about that either.
If there's a way to make eating well easier and give yourself some time back for the things you actually enjoy, I'm all for it.
A local partnership for our community
One of the other things I love about this partnership is that FuelHub is based in Warrington, making it a really relevant business for the wider Next Chapter Society community across South Manchester, Cheshire and beyond.
I'm a big believer in discovering great businesses that are doing brilliant things closer to home.
And while Next Chapter Society is growing beyond our local area, I love being able to shine a light on businesses in our region that I genuinely think are worth knowing about.
FuelHub is one of those businesses.
What I love about FuelHub
After trying the meals myself, there are a few things that really stand out.
The taste
This is number one.
Because if I don't enjoy eating something, I'm not going to keep eating it.
And I've genuinely been impressed with the meals I've tried.
The convenience
Having meals ready to go takes away so much of the everyday decision-making around food.
The choice
Everyone in our house can choose something different, which makes it much easier when we're all doing different things.
The flexibility
Being able to freeze the meals straight away or keep them refrigerated and use them by the date on the packaging works brilliantly for our family.
The nutrition
As a Health Coach, this matters to me.
I want convenient food, but I also want to feel confident about the choices I'm making.
And the biggest one...
It works in real life.
And I think that's what matters most.
FuelHub Junior is coming too...
And there's another reason I'm particularly excited about this partnership.
FuelHub Junior is launching next week.
As a parent, I'm really interested to see how this works because feeding children and teenagers well can be a challenge in itself.
School.
Homework.
Sports.
Clubs.
Friends.
Activities.
And, of course, the seemingly endless appetite!
I'm going to try FuelHub Junior myself before I tell you what I think.
And that's because I want to give it the same treatment I've given FuelHub.
I'll try it first.
Then I'll be writing a separate Next Chapter Society blog about FuelHub Junior and sharing my honest thoughts and experience.
So if you've got children or teenagers, watch this space.
This is what Next Chapter living looks like to me
I think sometimes we make life more complicated than it needs to be.
We want to eat well.
We want to exercise.
We want to have energy.
We want to spend time with our families.
We want to work.
We want to travel.
We want to see friends.
We want to have fun.
And sometimes the answer isn't to add another thing to the list.
Sometimes it's to take something away.
For me, FuelHub takes away some of the planning, preparation and cooking that comes with eating well.
And that means more time for everything else.
That's why I think it's such a natural fit for Next Chapter Society.
You don't have to do everything yourself
This is something I've become increasingly passionate about.
We've somehow created this idea that doing everything ourselves is a sign that we're coping.
I don't believe that.
There is nothing wrong with using the tools available to you.
There is nothing wrong with outsourcing something.
There is nothing wrong with buying something that saves you time.
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with saying:
“I don't have to do everything myself.”
Sometimes looking after yourself means making life easier.
Sometimes it means asking for help.
Sometimes it means saying no.
And sometimes it means having dinner sitting in the freezer, ready when you need it.
That's not failure.
That's smart.
So, would I recommend FuelHub?
Absolutely
And that's why I'm genuinely delighted that FuelHub is now an official Next Chapter Society partner.
I've tried the food.
I've compared it with other meal-prep options I've tested.
I'm eating it myself.
My family are eating it.
And I genuinely believe it's a great fit for our community.
I'm not interested in recommending something just because there is a partnership attached to it.
If I'm going to put a brand in front of the Next Chapter Society community, I want to be able to say:
“I've tried this. I use this. And I genuinely believe it's worth you knowing about.”
And that's exactly how I feel about FuelHub.
Ready to try FuelHub?
If you're busy, health-conscious and would love to make eating well a little easier, I'd definitely recommend giving FuelHub a try.

A little Next Chapter thought...
You don't have to do everything yourself.
You don't have to make every meal from scratch.
You don't have to make healthy living complicated.
And you certainly don't have to feel guilty about making your life easier.
Sometimes looking after yourself is about making good choices.
Sometimes it's about asking for help.
And sometimes it's simply about opening the freezer, choosing dinner and getting on with the things you actually want to do.
Because life is for living.
And that's what your next chapter is all about.
