My Nail Game Changer: Pretty Nails Without the Commitment
My Nail Game Changer: Pretty Nails Without the Commitment
I have a confession.
I love having nice nails.
But I absolutely hate having my nails done for hours.
And I really struggle with false nails.
I don't like the feeling of having them on all the time, and sometimes I literally just want to put some on for a night out, feel a bit fancy, and then pick the bloody things off when I get home.
The problem is, obviously, picking off glued-on nails isn't exactly brilliant for your natural nails.
So I've found something that has been a complete game changer for me.
Nail glue tabs!
They're basically little sticky tabs that you put onto your natural nail and then stick your false nail on top.
And honestly...
Why did I not discover these years ago?
I've now got a little box full of false nails.
Different colours.
Different shapes.
Different styles.
Some are simple.
Some are a bit more extra.
And depending on what I'm wearing, I can just pick a set and put them on.
I change my nails like I change my shoes
That's basically how I think about it now.
I'm not committing to having one set of nails for three weeks.
I'm not booking an appointment.
I'm not sitting there for hours while someone does my nails.
I put them on when I want them.
Wear them when I fancy feeling a bit more done.
And then when I get home?
Off they come.
No drama.
No commitment.
And, when removed properly, they don't leave my natural nails feeling like I've been through a battle.

And this is especially good if you have sensory issues
This is probably my favourite part.
If you're someone who struggles with sensory stuff, having someone filing, touching and working on your nails for ages can be a LOT.
And if you're anything like me and find it hard to sit still for long periods of time...
Spending hours at a nail appointment isn't exactly my idea of fun.
I want the nice nails.
I just don't necessarily want the whole experience that comes with them.
These give me the best of both worlds.

And they're perfect for going out
Got an outfit planned?
Pick some nails.
Going on holiday?
Pick some nails.
Fancy a different colour?
Pick some nails.
Feeling a bit fancy on a Friday night?
Pick some nails.
Then when you've had enough...
Take them off.
It's honestly made having false nails feel much more like an accessory rather than a commitment.
My little nail box
I've now got a ridiculous little collection.
And I love it.
It's like having a mini nail wardrobe ready to go.
I can look at what I'm wearing, choose a colour or style and have my nails done in minutes.
No appointment.
No sitting still for hours.
No having to commit to one style.
And no feeling like I'm stuck with them when I've changed my mind.
Basically...
I change my shoes.
I change my outfit.
Now I change my nails.
And for someone who doesn't love the feeling of false nails and doesn't have the patience to sit in a salon for hours, these little sticky nail tabs have honestly been a game changer.
Sometimes you just want pretty nails for the night.
Not a three-week relationship with them.
Obviously, if you're using adhesive nail tabs, follow the manufacturer's instructions and remove them gently rather than forcing or picking them off if they're firmly attached.
