The Website Tool I Wish More Small Businesses Knew About
The Website Tool I Wish More Small Businesses Knew About
If you've got a website, you probably already know the feeling.
You've spent ages getting the design right, writing the content, adding your services and making everything look professional...
And then you realise your website still needs stuff.
Reviews.
Forms.
Pop-ups.
Social feeds.
FAQs.
Events.
Galleries.
Calls to action.
And suddenly something that was supposed to be a simple website becomes a technical project.
This is where I came across Fouita.
Fouita Smart Widgets offers a library of website widgets that you can customise and embed without having to build everything from scratch. It works across different website platforms and is designed to be lightweight and responsive.
I'm a big fan of anything that makes life easier
I'm not a developer.
And, frankly, I don't want to become one.
I've got a business to run, a website to manage and approximately 700 other things on my list.
So when I find something that lets me add functionality to my website without creating another headache, I'm interested.
Fouita has a huge range of widgets covering things like reviews, forms, social feeds, image galleries, sliders, FAQs, events, countdowns, pop-ups and more.
And the idea is pretty simple:
Choose it.
Customise it.
Add it to your website.
No faffing around trying to build something from scratch.
What I particularly like
The thing that caught my attention is how much you can actually do with it.
You can create things such as:
Reviews — useful if you're trying to build trust.
Forms — great for enquiries, bookings or collecting information.
Social feeds — useful for bringing your social content onto your website.
FAQs — particularly handy for businesses answering the same questions repeatedly.
Image galleries and sliders — because sometimes your website needs to show rather than tell.
Pop-ups and calls to action — useful when you actually want visitors to do something rather than simply read your website and disappear.
And there are loads more.

The thing that caught my attention is how much you can actually do with it.
It's also about making your website work harder
This is the bit I think small businesses sometimes overlook.
Your website shouldn't just be a digital brochure.
It should help someone:
understand what you do → trust you → engage with you → take action.
That's where little additions can make a difference.
A review widget can add social proof.
A well-placed enquiry form can make contacting you easier.
An FAQ can answer questions before someone needs to pick up the phone.
A social feed can show that you're actually active and doing things.
None of these things individually are going to magically transform a business.
But together?
They can make a website feel much more useful and alive.
And you don't need to be a tech genius
This is probably the biggest appeal for me.
Fouita says its widgets can be installed on any website by copying and pasting, with no complex setup, and the platform is designed to be mobile-friendly and lightweight.
It also offers a free option for up to 1,000 monthly views, with paid plans available as your traffic grows.
So you can actually have a play around with it without immediately committing to another expensive monthly software subscription.
And I like that.
Is it for everyone?
Probably not.
If you've got a developer who builds everything specifically for you, you may not need it.
But if you're a small business owner, freelancer, coach, consultant, blogger or someone managing their own website, I think it's worth knowing about.
Especially if you've ever thought:
“I wish my website could do that...”
There's a good chance Fouita already has a widget for it.
My favourite kind of business tool
I'm increasingly interested in tools that don't promise to revolutionise your entire business.
Just tools that solve a problem you actually have.
Fouita falls into that category for me.
It's not about adding every widget under the sun to your website.
Please don't do that.
It's about choosing the few things that genuinely improve your customer's experience and make your website easier to manage.
Simple. Useful. Less faff.
That's a business tool I can get behind.
